Late Class Cancels

Everyone knows what I'm talking about. Late class cancels. Amis. Today, I was fully introduced to the infamous late class cancel. Having already attended two early morning classes, I was just getting up from a mid-snooze nap just after lunch. My CS 202 class was scheduled for 2 p.m. in the building that happens to be the furthest from the one I live in (approx. 15 min. walk). After putting a water in the backpack and bundling up, I was ready to begin my trek in the cold and prepare for back-to-back afternoon classes (also Amis). I was no longer sleepy when the first burst of cold wind struck my ears and hands. I knew this would be an amis walk. I did it, though. 1st step complete. As I began to walk into the lab where the class was scheduled, I read a small whiteboard that read something like this, "CS 202 - No lab today. See you thursday in H.M. Comer 126 for lecture."
Not even an "I'm sorry for the inconvenience". So what do I do? I immediately begin the walk back. Thirty minutes wasted. AMIS.
